Did you know that there are more than 120,000 different rice varieties all over the world? Wild rice was even spotted in Canada. We love the diversity in rice, but decisive for us at BENEO when selecting the ideal varieties is the balance between amylose and amylopectin – the two main components when speaking of rice sourcing.
Basically, we are sourcing three different varieties (indica, japonica and waxy rice) that can be found in various regions all over the world.
