The chicory campaign in Chile ended at the beginning of August. It was celebrated in a big way with more than 200 farmers, service providers and colleagues from BENEO in Chile. They all were invited to the plant in Pemuco. A special highlight of the celebrations was the award ceremony for the farmers who had made outstanding achievements during the campaign.
We would like to make a special mention of Samuel Oliva from Los Angeles, who achieved the highest yield per tonne per hectare of chicory root. Congratulations to Samuel Oliva and to all the others!
The Chilean gymnast and world champion Tomas González was present as well. He gave a motivational speech and highlighted values such as effort, perseverance, confidence and teamwork.
It was a beautiful and joyful evening that honoured and strengthened the important and long-standing partnership with farmers. Only together we can meet the challenges ahead in the coming year. And thus, contribute to BENEO continuing to be the world’s largest producer of dietary fibres from chicory roots.
El final de la campaña en Chile se celebra con una ceremonia de entrega de premios.
La campaña de la achicoria en Chile terminó a principios de agosto y se celebró a lo grande. Más de 200 invitados, entre agricultores, proveedores de servicios y colegas de BENEO en Chile, acudieron a la planta de Pemuco. Uno de los aspectos más destacados de las celebraciones fue la ceremonia de entrega de premios a los agricultores que habían conseguido logros destacados durante la campaña.
Nos gustaría hacer una mención especial a Samuel Oliva, de Los Ángeles, que consiguió el mayor rendimiento por tonelada y hectárea de raíz de achicoria. ¡Felicitaciones a Samuel y a todos los demás!
El gimnasta chileno Tomas González (campeón del mundo), también estuvo presente dando un discurso de motivación , destacando valores como el esfuerzo, la perseverancia, la confianza y el trabajo en equipo.
Fue una hermosa y alegre velada que honró y reforzó la importante y larga asociación con los agricultores. Sólo juntos podremos hacer frente a los retos que nos esperan en el próximo año. Y contribuir así a que BENEO siga siendo el mayor productor mundial de fibra dietética procedente de raíces de achicoria.

Die Zichorienwurzel-Ernte in Chile endete Anfang August und wurde groß gefeiert. Mehr als 200 Landwirte, Dienstleister, und Kollegen/Kolleginnen von BENEO in Chile waren ins Werk nach Pemuco eingeladen. Besonderes Highlight der Feierlichkeiten war die Preisverleihung für die Landwirte/Landwirtinnen, die herausragende Leistungen während der Kampagne erbracht haben.
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Samuel Oliva aus Los Angeles, der den höchsten Ertrag pro Tonne und Hektar Zichorienwurzel erzielen konnte. Herzlichen Glückwunsch an Samuel Oliva und an alle anderen!
Der chilenische Turner und Weltmeister Tomas González war ebenfalls anwesend und hielt eine motivierende Rede, in der er Werte wie Anstrengung, Ausdauer, Vertrauen und Teamwork hervorhob.
Es war ein schöner und fröhlicher Abend, der die wichtige und langjährige Partnerschaft mit den Landwirten und Landwirtinnen geehrt und gestärkt hat. Nur gemeinsam können wir die anstehenden Herausforderungen im kommenden Jahr meistern und dazu beitragen, dass BENEO weiterhin weltweit der größte Hersteller von Ballaststoffen aus Zichorienwurzeln sein kann.
