As an internationally operating company with more than 1.000 employees in 7 local offices and 5 production sites in Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Germany, India, Italy, Singapore, Spain and the United States, BENEO embraces diversity with both hands. Beyond that, through our worldwide sales network, we are active in more than 80 countries with our mission of connecting nutrition and health. Therefore, there are many points of contact between different cultures both on a professional and also personal level.
Working together with colleagues and partners from all over the world in joint projects is highly rewarding. The diversity of backgrounds and perspectives fuels inspiration and innovation for example in joint brainstorming sessions, workshops or teams. Within our functions and also on an interdisciplinary level, we build project teams where colleagues across locations from all over the world are working together, be it in food technology, marketing, key account management or in our international community of agile coaches. To deliver healthy and tasty nutrition to people and animals, innovative ideas, the understanding of different cultural habits and closeness to our customers matter in order to be successful. All this would be not possible without the diverse perspectives of our passionate colleagues. They help to develop a dynamic and open-minded company culture across countries, where new ideas, constructive feedback and cultural exchange are encouraged on all levels. Hence, it is more than worthwhile to appreciate the great work of our colleagues and the benefits diversity and inclusion bring to our company culture – on Diversity Day and every day.
It is not a surprise that BENEO colleagues and partners are real foodies, they love to travel and explore new cuisines. For Diversity Day colleagues from BENEO as well as our mother company, the Südzucker Group, provided their favourite recipes collected in a flavourful booklet by the Südzucker Group Diversity Team which is digitally available and will be distributed to all colleagues with the employee magazine “Food Forum” of Südzucker Group. There are many secrets to explore such as Irish Soda Bread, Pastéis de Nata or the famous “Donauwellen” cake.
Our canteen in Mannheim, Germany, will provide special dishes during the week of Diversity Day inspired from various continents and locations of BENEO and the entire Südzucker Group. In BENEOs office in Tienen, Belgium, there will be intercultural snacks to taste – prepared by our colleagues and their families. Enjoy a tasty journey around the globe – powered by diversity.
