    BENEO Group Forum and Sales Network Meeting 2023

    This year’s BENEO Group Forum and Sales Network Meeting 2023 took place in Berlin. The event started with presentations on current market situations and challenges and included sessions on Meatless® acquisition, plant-based protein, leadership, and competencies. Day two included discussions on sustainability and efforts with the new CRM tool, followed by visits to market stalls on various topics. The Sales Network Meeting’s motto was “Reunited,” and it focused on re-connecting with sales network partners from around the world. The program covered presentations on new ingredients, start-up stories, and digital collaboration, followed by workshops. The evenings were dedicated to conveying “Berlin feeling” and included a Roaring Twenties event.

    Find out what “skinny fat” body composition means

    Appearing slender does not necessarily mean you are healthy, as excessive body fat on the inside while having low muscle mass is a risk factor for chronic diseases. This is known as “skinny fat” or TOFI. Asians tend to have more belly fat due to genetic differences and may develop diabetes at a lower BMI than Europeans. Consuming high glycemic carbohydrates spikes blood sugar and promotes fat storage, but using Palatinose™ can improve body composition and address belly fat.
